    Karis Morasch

    SECRETARY-GENERAL

    Karis is a third-year Political Science and Philosophy student at Berkeley and is excited to serve as the Secretary-General for BearMUN 2026. Since joining UC Berkeley Model United Nations in Spring 2025, Karis has staffed collegiate and high school conferences, serving as Under-Secretary-General of Specialized Bodies for BearMUN 2025. She also travels the country as a competitive delegate. Karis is incredibly lucky to have found lifelong friends through Model UN and can’t wait to welcome all BearMUN delegates to share in a piece of the wonderful community here.

    Karis serves as the External Research Director of the Student Policy Institute at Berkeley and as an editor and writer for the undergraduate philosophy review, Beetle in a Box. She also serves as a summer intern with Justice Corps, working towards a career in law. She can’t wait to meet you and see all you will accomplish in BearMUN 2026!

  • Victoria Gutanu

    DIRECTOR-GENERAL

    Victoria is a third-year student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Political Science and Economics. She serves as the Director General of BearMUN 2026 and is thrilled to welcome you to a weekend of meaningful collaboration and lasting memories! Victoria has been an active delegate and staffer for UCBMUN since her freshman year, and is deeply grateful for the community she has found within it.

    On campus, she works as a research assistant for both the Institute of European Studies and the Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law, contributes as a writer for the Berkeley Political Review, and is a Democracy Camp in DC Fellow. Beyond her coursework and commitments, she also enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and reading. Victoria is passionate about building a career in foreign affairs and public policy — with a particular focus on her home country, the Republic of Moldova.

  • Rori Ojala

    CHIEF OF STAFF, GENERALIZED

    Rori (she/her/hers) is third-year student at Cal studying Political Science and minoring in Global Poverty and Practice and Spanish. She serves as the Chief of Staff, Generalized, for BearMUN 2026. Rori is from Missoula, Montana, where she participated in Model UN, student government, and soccer throughout high school. In her free time, Rori loves running through the streets of Berkeley blasting music, sipping a homemade latte, or curling up with a blanket and a good book. Rori is so excited to be a part of Secretariat for BearMUN 2026, and can’t wait to meet you during conference!!

  • Kelsey Hernandez

    CHIEF OF STAFF, EXTERNAL

    Kelsey is an intended Poli Sci and Film major at Berkeley. She serves as the External Chief of Staff for BearMUN and is beyond excited to help bring this year’s conference to life. Kelsey has been involved in MUN since high school, where she served as Secretary-General her senior year. She loves the fast paced nature of committee and the opportunity to meet new people. Outside of MUN, she is a member of Greek life in Alpha Chi Omega as well as Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law fraternity. In her free time, you can find her catching up on her TBR, rewatching Gossip Girl, or glademaxxing.

  • Shanmukh Bacchu

    CHIEF OF STAFF, INTERNAL

    Shanmukh is a Civil Engineering student at UC Berkeley with a minor in Data Science. He serves as the Chief of Staff, Internal for BearMUN, and is so excited to be a secretariat for this conference. Shanmukh has been doing MUN for 5 years, doing it throughout his high school experience, competing across the Southern California circuit. He has been to over 20+ high school conferences and 3 collegiate conferences. Shanmukh loves bridging STEM with public speaking and debate. Other than MUN he is involved in Cal Enviro, Cal Sustainable Solutions, Cal Construction, and Chi Epsilon across campus.

  • Rafi Liao

    USG GENERALIZED

    Rafi is a second-year student at UC Berkeley majoring in Cognitive Science and hoping to minor in Economics. She joined UCBMUN last spring as an ACD for UCBMUN XXX, and is excited to serve as the USG Generalized at BearMUN 2026. Although she only began Model UN last spring, Rafi is incredibly grateful for the community she has found through UCBMUN and for the joy the activity has brought her through debate, collaboration, and argumentation. Outside of MUN, Rafi enjoys playing volleyball and soccer, watching horror movies, eating new foods.

  • Catalina Mccarron

    USG OF GENERAL ASSEMBLIES

    Catalina is a student at the University of California, Berkeley studying Political Science and Economics. She serves as the USG of GA for BearMUN and is incredibly excited to help bring this year’s conference to life. Catalina has been involved in Model UN and mock trial throughout her academic career, developing a strong passion for leadership and public speaking. Outside of UCBMUN, Catalina loves to read, play tennis, and is involved in Residence Hall Assembly and Catholics at Cal. She is passionate about law and community service, and is excited to help create an engaging and memorable committee experience for everyone.

  • Enes Kut

    USG OF CRISIS

    Abdullah Enes Kut is a senior Political Science student, Public Service Center Ambassador, and Institute of Governmental Studies Student Director. With a focus in IR, he is involved in research about the sociopolitical fabric of developing societies, with interest in power structures, interstate coercion, IGOs, and sovereignty. To engage with the latter, Enes actively delegates for UCBMUN, in which he represents various global actors and engages with policymaking first-hand. His participation in the political arena includes his internship with Congresswoman Matsui, as well as his position as the chair of Embrace Relief.

  • Janelle Sangmoah

    USG OF SPECIALIZED BODIES

    Janelle is a third-year UCB student majoring in Psychology with a double minor in Creative Writing & Data Science. She joined UCBMUN beginning as an ACD at UCBMUNXXX and continues in hopes to find community in public speaking growth and traveling competitively. Being from South Central LA, Janelle enjoys spending a lot of time at the beach and cafe hopping. She also enjoys dancing, writing poetry, and being a plant mom. She is excited and looks forward to an amazing time serving as your USG of Spec!!

  • Valentina Pineda

    DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

    Valentina is a Computer Science and Economics student at UC Berkeley. Originally from Peru, Valentina has been involved in MUN since her sophomore year of High School, participating in both National and International Conferences. That is why she is really excited to serve as your Director of Technology on BearMUN’s 8th edition, bridging her passion for coding and her love for debate. Outside from MUN, Valentina is involved in Technology & Design Consulting, CDSS Student Leadership, Game development and adores surfing. She can’t wait to make this weekend the best ever!
