Hello Delegates!
My name is Audrey Watson, and I will be one of your Chairs for this ADHOC committee! I am currently a Junior here at Cal and am studying Neuroscience (shoutout any STEM MUN kids- I see you!) I have been a part of UCBMUN for almost 2 years now, after joining in the spring of my freshman year. Joining Model UN was one of the best decisions that I made here in college and has led me to some of my best friends that I have ever met here in Berkeley, something I never expected when joining this club as a naive freshman.
Now, a little bit about me outside of this club! In my free time, I love to read books by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Fredrick Backman (if you haven’t read any of their books, you are truly missing out!). I also love portrait photography, so you can catch me around campus taking a lot of grad photos and headshots whenever I can. I am also an avid show re-watcher, and my favorite victims are: Gilmore Girls, Friends, 30 Rock, and Modern Family, so if you ever want to discuss any of these in detail, I am definitely your girl!
Although I have so much fun competing as a part of our travel MUN team, one of my favorite parts of UCBMUN is staffing our conferences, both at the collegiate level and at the high school level. In fact I love it so much that I am currently working alongside my lovely Director General, Cheyenne, as the Secretary General of our collegiate conference UCBMUN XXX! This is why I am so excited to be able to be a chair for this committee and see what you all do and what creative solutions you come up with to the unhinged problems that we throw your way!
Last year, I was given the opportunity to co-chair a specialized committee about Taylor Swift's Presidential Campaign, which was so much fun to do, so I am incredibly excited to be back as a chair for this year's BearMUN! I have never gotten the chance to chair an ADHOC committee before, and I am truly looking forward to working with my wonderful co-chair Anna and our incredible CD Maanas to bring this committee to life, and I know that all of you are going to enjoy what we have in store for you! Prepare yourself!
Warmest Regards,
Audrey Watson, Chair

Dear Delegates,
Welcome to BEARMUN XXV! My name is Anna Lieggi, and I have the absolute honor of serving as one of your Co-Chairs for this Special Ad-Hoc Committee (SADHOC) at this year’s conference. I’m thrilled to be chairing alongside Audrey, and we are so excited to lead this committee full of challenges, diplomacy, and surprises — everything SADHOC is known for.
I’m currently a student at UC Berkeley, studying Political Science and Global Studies, with a focus on comparative politics and peace and conflict. Outside of MUN, I love exploring local cafés, reading books, and watching reality TV or RomComs. I’m also passionate about Armenian issues, international human rights, and research.
I joined UCBMUN in my freshman fall and I am currently entering my last year at Berkeley and UCBMUN. Last year, I had the privilege of serving as the Secretary-General of BEARMUN XXIV, where I led our amazing team in organizing one of our largest high school conferences to date. Now, I have the privilege of watching Patrick and Amara take on the planning for this conference, and I am so excited to chair this committee in their BEARMUN 2025! Returning to staff SADHOC this year feels like a full-circle moment, and I’m so excited to take on a new leadership role from the committee side.
SADHOC is one of BEARMUN’s most dynamic and unpredictable committees. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or stepping into crisis for the first time, I encourage you to lean into the uncertainty and trust your instincts; it’s going to be a wild ride.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or just to say hi. You can contact me at annalieggi@berkeley.edu. I’m always happy to chat!
I can’t wait to meet you all in committee and see the chaos unfold.
Warmly,
Anna Lieggi, Chair

Hello everyone!
My name is Maanas (he/him/his) and I’m a fourth-year from Pleasanton, California majoring in Computer Science with minors in Physics and Data Science.
This will be my 10th year in MUN, having done competed somewhat on and off at conferences since 6th grade, and over the years it has grown to become one of the most influential aspects of my time here at Berkeley. I’m truly honored to be able to staff and run the Adhoc Committee of the Secretary General alongside Anna and Audrey for my senior year! While I, of course, can’t share anything about the committee here, I hope you will find the topic as interesting as we do, and we can’t wait to see what innovative solutions you guys develop to tackle the problem at hand! And perhaps we’ll even see some creative problems of your own arise as a result of your crisis arcs!
Outside of MUN, I love both playing and designing board games and video games; from quick 30 minute party games to massive day-long strategy marathons, I will take any chance I can get to wrangle my friends into my latest unwise financial decision. Feel free to email me at maanas_shah@berkeley.edu for any committe questions!
